I drove the Ontario Camaro 1LE in all 6 Ontario Time Attack events. I scored third to fifth in GT1 class in those events, so didn't dominate the class, to justify an upgrade.
Comparing the classification of the 650 hp ZL1 to the 455 hp 1LE in Stock trim, 70% of the base classification is based on the HP of each car, which should provide a relative difference in classes. The remaining 30% of base classification is a handling index which is identical for the two cars. The ZL1 driver was having issues getting the extra power down to the track, which could justify his slower times at SMP.
Wondering if the WCMA driver that was 5 seconds faster has other car changes to justify his faster times? Please PM me his name. I will see if there is any classification reason to justify his time difference.
