  • 2019 Official Results - Event #4 CTMP GP - June 30, 2019

    Good evening all!

The official results of Event #4 at CTMP GP track is now live on our website here: https://time-attack.ca/results/2019-...4-ctmp-gp-mir/

    Chief Timer's Notes:
    1. James Houghton was classified as an exhibitor for the event and thus while scored according to the OTA iPAX system, will not be the bench mark for scoring 100 points.
    2. This was the first implementation of the OTA live results website with the MyLaps Timing System and it seems to have been executed well and without issue.
    3. Aside from gridding occasionally running low on cars, the event was very smooth and we had open lapping after. The new timing system has worked magnificently.
    4. Timing loop at CTMP GP is rather sensitive and was known to pick up transponders even in grid as long as it was within 15-20 feet of start/finish. This did not affect final scores as Chief Timer suppressed undue starts from scoring and logging.

If any of you have any feedback on the new timing results display, feel free to post them here. Your feedback is always welcome!

    Cheers.

Special shout out to Rick Arbour who managed to run two identical laps as his best time, which broke season results generation. I didn't think in a million years someone would duplicate their best time down to 0.001s.

In case anyone is wondering what Will is talking about, look at Rick Arbour's laptime from Lap 3 and Lap 6.

And before anyone asks, yes, we verified the MyLaps timing events and yes, he did pull it off.

      Much wow.

Very impressed with the new timing system! Overall, the day seemed to run very smoothly. 3 full sessions, plus lapping?? Can't ask for better than that. Well done OTA!

I cannot state how much the new timing system has made it easier to run the event. Glad to know you guys are also enjoying it from the user end!
