new Honda 1.6L diesel

    new Honda 1.6L diesel

    So i was just sent this on the new european market diesel honda has now. Maybe someone smarter than me can explain why Honda can't send us this same engine, put it in the Fit, and call it the Fit typeR, or rather, typeD.

    With all the bandying about on the prius/plugin/volt/hybrid/mileage/enivonmental/savetheplanet/globalwarming/greenwhatever debate, i figure a vehicle with a powertrain like this is a far better choice. Mazda has got it right with the new mazda6 diesel- 310lbft of torque!

    anyway, we really are getting rooked over on this side of the pond.

    Because diesel is more expensive than gasoline in the USA.

      this is interesting- the diesel mazda6 is confirmed for canada, but not for the states...at least that's what i've read...and the internet is ALWAYS right.
