  • Where are you working? - 2018

    Hey everyone!

I know this forum, and especially this section is kind of a little bit dead, but I'd thought I'd revive it with a bit of a roll call.

What's everyone plans for the year? Are you working any big events?? Pro or Amateur, Local or Abroad??

2018 is looking to be a record year for the number of events that I work/attend. I've already clicked off the 24 hours of Daytona, and then spent the beginning of March at Sebring for the TransAm race watching what goes on in the tower. (Crazy experience)

For regional stuff, I'm working at the Kyle Nash and Ted Powell weekends on Pit Lane. Speaking of which, we always can use an extra hand or two on Pitlane if anyone would like to come out. I'm even available to train some new people if they are interested in hanging around for 1 or both days.

The rest of the year will be filled up by random events, and I'm hoping to be able to race once or twice also!

I might have bitten off more than I can handle. Here's the year so far:

    Volunteer / Official
    Jan - Daytona, pit lane
    April - CASC-OR Clerk & Stewards meeting
April - Trans Am, observer, Fontana
May - SCCA Hoosiers Super Tour, steward, Pittsburgh
May - IMSA GT3 Cup, pit lane, scrutineer, CTMP
May - Kyle Nash, clerk, CMP
June - F1GP, Deputy clerk, Montreal
June - SCCA Hoosiers Super Tour, steward, Watkins Glen
July - SCCA Hoosiers Super Tour, steward, NJMP
July - IMSA GT3 Cup, pit lane, scrutineer, Toronto Indy
Aug - IMSA GT3 Cup, pit lane, scrutineer, Mosport
Sept - Trans Am, observer, Watkins Glen
Oct - SCCA regional, steward, Thompson

    Racing - sometime this year - VARAC / CASC-OR

I'm still looking for a few weekends at the end of the year, plus regionals at CTMP in the second half of the season.
