  • A very short tow required

I have my ice racer parked at Tom's "storage facility", I have a tow bar and until today I had a friend with a car with hitch. However, my friend is sick and cannot go to Minden this weekend.

Is anybody willing to tow me from Tom's place to the track? I will have a tow bar and a sturdy bumper (i.e. I have towed the car before on this tow bar for about 200 km and did not lose it even once )

If there is someone willing to tow me, please let me know when should I be at the track (Sat or Sun?).

    Thank you,

    Paul

I'm bringing my car up on Saturday for tech. Once it's off the trailer I can give you a hand. We can use the tow bar or stick it on the trailer.

I'm aiming to be there for about 11.

PM me for phone numbers etc.

    Cheers

    Gord

And that's exactly why I love this sport so much....everyone is so nice and helpful to everyone else...you don't find much of that in asphalt racing!

A BIG thank you to Gord and his friend for that "very short tow" yesterday. After they helped me to rip the car from the ice at Tom's place, load it and take it to the track, they did the same thing for another ice racer stuck in there.

I reckon that they spent much more time than they planned in Minden, but for them it was just "OK - no problem".

              Thanks again,

              Paul

                So much fun

I am so proud to join another race group that is so happy to help each other. I will always help others when I can and people who do so as well make me feel so much better about what I do for others. The feeling of being helped is not nearly as good as the one you get from helping someone else.

Nearly have my daughter(13) convinced to come up with me for opening weekend(huge surprise that she would attend thiswith me, no shopping, internet etc). This is the only hitch preventing my attendance next weekend. Wifey has plans so "little" Emma is my responsibility.

Currently have a percolating plan for us to attend. Approaching 60% now. Barker, if I make it, that red paint sure is going to look purty with a blue racing stripe on it!!

Re: A very short tow required

I'd like to pass on my thanks to Gord and Todd as well for getting my MR2 over to the fairgrounds.

Now if can only figure out why it won't run Not much fun when original plan was to get tech done and head home, but end up spending all day battling with the car with no luck. Hopefully with some help from more talented people than myself will get in running on Saturday so can do tech and go racing.

In any case, thanks again guys for your help.

                    Cheers,
