I don't want this to be construed as negative, however, I had a look at some of the tires the other day for the SSC.

Those babies stick way out and although I'm not an engineer, I'd have to say a lot of those studs are gonna be ripped right out of those tires.....with relative ease.....I'd be a little concerned.

I do hope I'm wrong by the way..TD

yes Jeff is gluing the studs in. he also mentioned to me the glue acts as a lubricant and makes it easier to install.

Ahh, it was by remote surveillence.
We're very crafty.......BTW, your guys rock in the back there Jeffy.
They had me in and out in about half hour.

And I'm not trying to stir the pot, I think it's a great idea, I think it will work. However, it may be fraught with some teething problems, as a lot of new ventures so often do.

Just an opinion, as I said before, I hope I'm wrong.....
If anyone can make it work, mr wenzel, he da man!

                          TD,

Just for that you are now annointed as the Stud Retriever. As the Official SR you must go out after every SSC race and collect the studs that have come out. Then by searching on the code of each errent stud retrive the tire number it came from. Then you find th car that the tire is on and inform the driver that you have found him a stud.

                          OK?

How about a deposit of 5 cents per stud? maybe there will be a lineup for the stud retreiver job
