Looks more like a hijacker, or maybe the cabbie got lost.
Even Senna confessed he occasionally went too far, as was the case in qualifying for the 1988 Monaco Grand Prix, where he became a passenger on a surreal ride into the unknown. Already on pole, he went faster and faster and was eventually over two seconds quicker than Prost in an identical McLaren. "Suddenly, it frightened me," Ayrton said, "because I realised I was well beyond my conscious understanding. I drove back slowly to the pits and did not go out anymore that day."

We don't allow passengers in the rear, they have to sit up front with the driver.

In those days you street ride was taken to the track and raced.

hey Dave....you sure about that passanger thing??

It might actually be benefitial as balast in some cars to ride in the back.

That's the reason he was there!! I won't say who he was, but he was built like " Crusher"

              yeah...after reading the rules....

it seems. As long as the passanger has a 3 point belt, A head restraint and an "oh-shit" handle. Theoretically he/she can sit where ever they want.

I could be wrong though..and i'd doubt anybody is going to do it.

It was the Twin Engined Tercel.

I can't remember buddies name who built it. but it had 2 different owners.

it was later run by Bob Donally and his brother.

Chris gets the prize! ...An awesome piece of "Red-Green" technology that actually worked when they could get the rear engine to stop overheating.

I remember one weekend Frank Sprongl brought up his Audi Quattro to ice race. He and that Tercel had a heck of a race until Sprongl had a tire go down and the Audi nearly vaulted the banking!

I talked briefly with the Tercel's builder when that car first appeared, he had a tough time getting the two engines in sync. Apparently the rear engine had a tendency to push harder than the front was pulling.
