Possibly SCCA's effort to address the Chump trend. Opening technical regs is a step in the right direction. Sad to see they missed the opportunity to award cars in the field based on broad technical definitions that are accessible and engaging to readers and bystanders. Instead they hobbled themselves with the laptime fixation we know all too well, but in a way that might be more likely to please nav rallyists:
