  • New Rims

So I decided to go with Enkei RPF1' for this season. My only problem is deciding on size,

    Option 1 :
    Front-18x9.5 with a 275 Hoosier
    Rear--18x9.5 with a 295 Hoosier

    Option 2 :
    Front-18x9.5 with a 295 Hoosier
    Rear--18x9.5 with a 295 Hoosier

    Option 3 :
    Front--18x9.5 with a 275 or 295 Hoosier
    Rear--18x10.5 with a 315 Hoosier

    What do you guy's think

VIVID; Its a no brainer , just buy my car. All decisions re tires wheels , suspension, clutch, BRAKES, seat, colour, car # have been made.

You just need to buy GAS and more of the same tires & BRAKES.

Then ad a new wall to you home to hang the Placques and Trophies.

    YES ITS THAT SIMPLE

What's the weight distribution of your car.
This is important in deciding if a staggered tire set up is better or not.

Honestly I probably would, if I had a truck and extra space for a dedicated race car . So until I buy a larger house a dedicated car just isn't a option

            Re: New Rims

Since it's heavier at the front, putting wider rims and tires in the rear will encourage the car to understeer. This is because the front tires will have a larger slip angle then the rear. From all the theory i've read I would say Option #2 should be your best choice because your car's weight distribution is almost 50/50. Use the widest set of 4 equally sized rims and tires that fit on both ends of the car.
The Lotus Elise and Exige cars have larger and wider rims and tires in the rear because their weight distribution is about 40/60.

depends what can fit under the fenders at speed while cornering, without rubbing / hitting the fender.

Offset will be important as well...

                      +4

If I was running a staggered setup I would be burning through WAY too many tires.
