instruction during calabogie lapping friday

Hi Guys,

anyone with calabogie experiance want to instruct me on the track during the friday lapping session...either out with me in my car in in there car so I can see the lines..for the first bit anyway..

never been on the track before

anyone?

I can show you a nice, easy, slow line around the track Adam . It'd be my pleasure .

In all seriousness, I'll be there on Friday, so hopefully it won't take me more than a couple laps to remember the track and be good to go again .

I'd offer to help you out in exchange for driving your car but I'll be on vacation in Nova Scotia that weekend.

Watch as much in car video as you can tolerate so you at least know which way the track goes before you get there.

The only thing that video (unfortunately) doesn't capture well enough is the constantly changing elevation of the track.

I'd love to have last year's FTD driver along as an instructor . Too bad you're in N.S.!!

It looks like there will be quite a few experienced folk around for the lapping on Friday. I doubt you'll have trouble getting someone to show you around.

If that fails, you should be able to follow a few cars around the track and pick up their line.

Friday is only a "Test & Tune day" and not a "School day" where you would have asigned Instructors available.

Test & Tune ... is just as it says ....

I am sure there will be some fellow competitors around that will show you the line, as Pete says ...

Friday is only a "Test & Tune day" and not a "School day" where you would have asigned Instructors available.

Coaches will be available and assigned as needed. There are no classroom sessions, but we will have coaches for people who are not signed off and also to show folks the line like Adam wants.

Thx for asking Adam; it was something I was pondering asking this week.

So, good to hear there will be coaches on Fri and a Solosprint signoff process; and I won't have to try follow faster cars than the Mini trying to learn the line.

Anyone have any G2X track maps for CMP they would like to share?

I got mine a few weeks ago, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

Um ... you won't have the right wristband to get onto the track on Friday if you're not registered for Friday.
