I think it's been 6 of ___ for the last few years, regardless of total # of events, hasn't it? But no, I haven't been around that long .

Talyor, Autoslalom has always typically been half plus one. SoloSprint is almost always 6 out 8 or 10 or maybe 8 out of 11, something like that.

Pretty much every year I've been around for SoloSprint it's 1/2 + 1. Though I think one of those years some events weren't up for championship points but may be counted in the event count. Some it's rounded up a half point.. but it's still, in spirit, 1/2 + 1.

Anyhow... 6 of 8 with 2 at MIR pretty much makes my decision for me.

Problem is with the inclusion of the big track events in the past few years, it's just *that* much larger a problem where I stand and that's beyond just whether or not my driving or car will be good enough on any given day.

Seeing as it's been 8, then 7, then 6 of for so many years in a row, why drop it now to 5? I can see leaving it as 'best 6 of' as incentive for competitors to come to more events if they want a shot at the championship .

How do I find out about these mystery events? Are they held at the same place as the revealing of the 2009 rules?

You can just as easily say:

"Seeing as it's been 14, then 11, then 9 total for so may years in a row, why drop it now to 8?"

Oh.. wait.. I forgot the rolling eyes...

Why do people have to be so argumentative? The idea has merit, it's been in practice, perhaps by total accident but the math covers it.

This decision certainly isn't going to incentivize this competitor, so you might have a wash on your hands.

Anyhow my question has been answered, concerns have been voiced (despite I expect zero change). That is all.
