Marcel Poitras (CACC, Terry Epp (Chair)
The SoloSport section of the ASN website (www.asncanada.com) has been recently
updated with Bulletins re rollbars in convertibles for SoloSprint and engine mounts in SS/SP classes in AutoSlalom. An updated Bulletin on helmets will be coming soon, covering 2010 Snell updates and expiries.
An ASN SoloSport Distribution List has been created for all the Regions, to keep all
SoloSport representatives informed of SoloSport developments at the National level.
The 2010 Canadian Autoslalom Championship event held August 7-8 at the
Autodrome St Eustache, PQ and organized by the Association des Instructeurs en Sport
Automobile (AISA) was an overall success as indicated by the large number of competitors at the event.
Since no proposals were received for a National SoloSprint Championship event there was no CSC event this year.
Applications for hosting the 2011 CAC and CSC events must be received by October 25, 2010. The application form will be part of the initial emailing via the distribution list.
Future work: The Committee will be working on standardizing wording, between the
various SoloSport regulations, to make them more consistent and updating the GCRs, as
they are currently ten years old. The NSC and ASN will also be discussing the feasibility of adopting the SCCA prep point and car classification system.
Next conference call: Wednesday November 3, 2010.
