Remove all loose objects, trash, floor mats, maps, pens & pencils. Camera systems must be properly secured (duct tape is not secure!)
Battery hold down must be in place and functional.
Throttle cable must have free range of movement.
        Lots of bottled water.
Tire Pressure there is no air service available at the track. Bump them up in town before getting to the track.
Bring a tire gauge - check pressures after each run.
Bring a tire jack and a spare (doughnut) tire
        Basic wrenches
        masking tape
        snacks
        helmet
        hand cleaner, windshield cleaner
        engine oil, brake fluid
sun screen, raincoat, layers of clothing, lawn chair, tarp
        CAA membership

my answers are honest and straight

being the registrar, i do not want you to be late

food is always a problem at the race track

and seriously, you do not want Chuck on your case.

Also, i do not have Tom Owen registered for this weekend, will you be joining us?

                  Re: good tips

                  Couple of other pointers.

There are only 2 (or possibly 3 ) timed runs in the afternoon. 2 wheels off the track at the same time and/or hitting the cones in certain corners means you are scored as DNF (did not finish). Hard to do well without a time.

The point is, don't try to win on your first timed lap, don't overdrive the car (it usually isn't that fast anyway) and keep the car on the black stuff. It takes a while to really learn your car's and your own limits so don't expect to blow away the competition immediately (unless your name is Salmaan). Remember, each lap you do, teaches you something. Learn from it and you will be able to go faster but hopefully you don't have to constantly learn by mistake.

Also Serge's point re showing up on time is really important. With the new Time-Attack schedule we really hope to be able to run to the clock. Obviously there can be unforeseen issues but if all competitors show up on time, register on time, gets to drivers meetings on time and get on the grid at the approriate time, the day will run much more efficiently.

Sorry Alex but no power is available at this time.

BTW you need your mechanical statement certificate to present to Derrick Cormier to get a log book. In the future the log book stays with the car.
