    Re: Sponsor Decals

    Chuck:

Can you confirm the list of sponsors that must be run on our car. I believe there are series sponsors that don't have decals. I'd like to make sure I have all the required sponsors on my car before I have to sort it out on the grid; as well as give them the exposure they deserve for supporting our series.

I checked the rules and bulletins and didn't see anything (then again I didn't look too hard; so my bad if I missed it). Perhaps the recent bulletin can be updated if the list of required sponsors isn't listed somewhere.

If we are moving toward stronger enforcement I assume also that supplemental regs will list specific event sponsors the must be run at a specific event.

    Thanks,
    Matt

      Hi Matt,

They are listed on the back cover of our rule book found at:

        Re: Sponsor Decals

OK so based on rules 3.5.4, 3.6.1, the "back page list of sponsors" and the decals I've seen available at registration:

Mobil 1 - only decal is the time attack decal
Toyo - contingency only required if running Toyos
BFG - contingency only required if running BFG
AutoAnalyser (includes Project Mu, Moton and Gulf) - contingency only required if you want to be eligible for the contingency awards
Pure Design - decal available and required
Afirma - now Critical IT - decal available and required
        Stayner - no decal available
        Tri-Hospital - no decal available
        Can-Alignment - decal required
        CSC racing - decal required
        PRN - no decal available
Change Crafter - no decal available
Agincourt - I thought they only sponsored MIR so decal required at MIR

Bold identifies bare minimum decals. You can correct me if I'm wrong.

            Re: Sponsor Decals

how about the "time-attack.ca" decal? is it required or optional. as i cant implement magnetic backing solution on a vette and a c5z doesnt provide much rear glass "realestate", i must say that taking these puppies off is a real pain, not to mention not so good for her paint... to be clear, i fully understand the purpose behind the decals, but if i can avoid the "single letter" ones that take forever to peel off - that would be great
thanks in advance for any clarifying comments! Bill

The time-attack.ca decals were intended to be put on the glass and left on 24/7 to help advertise the series to the outside world.

This is good information especially for novices. We should probably set up registration so it is clear what is and isn't required to run (eg, people were told over event 3/4 that ALL stickers were needed). 5-6 is a much more manageable number than the dozen or so we have total.

                      Hi Shelby

all available decals will be present at all events

if some are missing, that means we are out

the above few posts outline what you need and do not need to run, i have formalized an easy to read list and it will be present at registration
