Did anyone else find it really choppy around the apex of turn 3, or was it my car/driving?
Just before the apex in T3 there is a dip in the pavement. It has been there for years and was actually paved over while leaving the dip relatively intact. Last season with my too-stiffly-sprung CRX the car would actually skip sideways if I apexed too early. The remedy is to move up your braking zone and/or delay turn-in a bit and apex later (just behind the pointy part of the apex). That way the car remains stable through the corner.

Woohoo! I'm faster than Sasha at one point in 5.

      Shame about everywhere else!

        Another chart.

I pulled the data off the other 3 track maps posted and with a little extrapolation and fudging did a corner speed chart.

Thanks Kevin, Sasha and Barry; this provided a nice slow/fast/faster range of speeds to chart.

        Some observations:
        * A lot of time is spent >125, even in the slower cars ... so once again, a fast track.
        * Surprisingly small speed difference between cars in the low speed corners (5&10)
        * Hills are a low powered cars best friend (4)
        * Hills are a low powered cars nemesis (5>8)
        * Horsepower! The stuff of legend, fast laps and $$$! An LS1 in the Miata would about do it.

          Here's a porky, camber-challenged, under-damped, relatively high powered GT4 car managing to do a 1:42.255
          Corner speeds are 130 kmh in 1, 132 in 2, 105 in 3, 68 in 5, 98 in 10
          Straight line speeds are 150 before 1, 157 before 2, 158 before 3, 165 before 4 and 199 before 8 if you can't read them

I like the overlay and corner stuff. What software are you using?

Looks like you have a target to shoot for on the back straight ... hit 200!

It's Harry's Lap Timer on the iPhone, exported to Google Earth
I have hit just over 200, but not on that run!

Re: How fast is CTMP / MIR / Mosport GP

I finally got to my lap timer log and pulled this graph from it. I didn't use the AIM track map report because it doesn't use the same corner reference points as Matt's track map shows. I pulled the speed data from the approximate location of Matt's speed labels and then generated the graph below.

good to know the car can almost hit 180 on the back straight!
                  set tire pressures to winning!

I managed to reach 180.2 KPH in another lap. The digital readout speedometer showed 182-183 KPH though.

Surprised to see you going slower in T2 than in T1. Is that typical of aero cars? My "best ever" minimum speeds would be about 140 in T1 and 154 in T2 (in the land of street tires and no aero). I would also consider the T2 minimum speed to still be underdriven, while the T1 minimum to be close to a good effort.

Hey Sasha how much do you think it slows you down when you wiggle back and fourth all the way up the back stretch.

Pierre, just curious, what was your top speed at shanny?

I imagine his should be pretty similar to mine... I hit an indicated 165km/h, but most laps were more like 162km/h indicated.

That's strange, as the power and weight is similar. My BMW hit 162 top speed at shanny but 192 at mosport. I guess mir is extremely wind dependent as I've had 10kmh difference in my Mustang depending on the day.

Ujjwal, good to hear from you man.

The best I could do was 160.6 Kph on the Pro track and 160.0 Kph on the Long track. Both days were windy and partly cloudy in the mid to high 20 degrees IIRC.

Will, were you running with an OFT tune? Or did you go back to stock tune?
