Lapping at DDT May 28

OMSC will be running a lapping day at the Mosport DDT on May 28 that will be open to all experienced lappers. This doesn't mean you have to be an expert or anything , just that there will be no formal instruction.

As far as I know the track will be run at least some of the time in a counterclockwise direction. Great for the recent school grads or SoloSprint competitors to get ready for Events 3 and 4 of the Mobil 1 SoloSprint championship.

How about running it CCW ALL day long? We don't run the GP circuit backwards, so why the DDT?

1 or 2 kinks in the AM... full perimeter in the afternoon.

And point-by passing on the backstraight of course.

Oh... and one further request. A nice 97 green Z28 to chase around on street rubber.

Hey Dave, why don’t you come to a lapping day now and then?
I will have that case of beer for you if you show up.
So Chris will you be making it out then, I think on the other forum you said that you would not make it.
I will be marshalling and instructing a guy in a 98 Mustang that day.
My car is not insured at the moment.

Greg, I have no idea. I still have no steel brake lines, no lapping rubber, etc. I don't need anymore DDT testing on stock components. I want to get my race parts on... but they don't arrive from Steeda until the 29th. Doh! I could always change the brake fluid and install the race pads anyway, but I'd still be on OE rubber.

How will the lapping be done? Just Open Track all day or what?

Also - OMSC has the track to itself, correct?

OMSC has the track to itself for the day. The last event was very well run. I just hope that passing at the bottom will be permitted.

Like to have some time to sort out my recent add-ons but may have other committments, so do you need to preregister or can you show up morning of?

too bad TAC memebers can't get better rates. I'll be burning up the old old R comps that day. =)
