    Last year ChrisP had a group buy on these so there are about 14 of them being used. They are inexpensive and work well. Usually a few beacons can be set up around the track so that you can get splits. If you forget your beacon or your beacon batteries go dead somebody else will have a spare beacon. I would recommend that you get one of these.

    I just heard that Taylor may be selling his.

    Krispy did a AiM Sports timing device group buy last year, so lots of our guys are running them now. The other popular system is Longacre's hot lap timer, which guys like Gerry, myself, Rob and many of the "old timers" have since this system has been around a long time. But I think the AiM system has more features and is a more technologically advanced system for the same money (or cheaper?) than the Longacre, so this is probably how I'd go if I was looking for one of these things in the future.
