  • 2006 National Rules Posted

In case you had missed it, as far as I can tell, they're using last year's rules without any changes this year.

Well, that sucks, considering half the cars will be in a different class for the nationals

I guess this means some Ontario cars wil be in two different classes for the nationals event since it's also being counted as an Ontario event!

Not too surprising... As great as they are conceptually, this year's variable sPIPS and bPIPS in particular would be rather cumbersome to deal with for groups who don't have access to the CCC web app...

Near as I can figure... I'm going to have to go back to stock sway bars for the Nationals in Quebec if I want to stay in SGT2. Or take off 16chp and go below stock HP levels and leave my swaybars as they are. I'm leaning towards the latter. Although that's more dyno time and more $$$, it keeps the handling more predictable and what I would have grown used to all summer. I don't have to start screwing with tire pressures and re-learning the car.

I guess that I'll have to evaluate the points standings before the Nationals and decide then. Should I go for my best Ontario SGT2 result and compete in the SGT1 category for Nationals? Or go with a compromised setup that fits me into SGT2 for both? I'll worry about it then.

No reason why they could not use the same app, but I agree, without a computer doing the work for you, the PIP calculation is definitly more complex this year.
