Hello All,
Selling my little 1999 1.6L Mazda Protege. It has 311,xxx km on it. It still runs well, but it is due in for a new engine soon. There is an oil leak at the crank seal. It can be repaired, but it would be cheaper to install a new engine. If you are mechanically inclined, you can purchase a new engine from Dave Wood Mazda (in Newmarket) and install it yourself. I just don't have the time and effort to do this.
However, the car can be used as a winter beater/racer, or it would be a great 'parts' car too.
The body of the car is in pretty good shape. There is rust on one area of the hood of the car (due to a stone chip that exposed the metal) as well as a deep scratch on the hood (no rust).
This is what I currently have done to the car:
- JDM Clear corners
- Injen CAI Intake
- TWM Short Shifter (1st Generation)
- Sparco Shift Knob
- KartBoy Bushing
- AWR front Motor Mount (others have been 3M Window welded)
- CP Racing 4 point Strut Tower Brace
- CP Racing Lower Tie Bar
- Custom made BRULLEN Cat-Back Exhaust
- JDM Mazdaspeed Adjustable Struts (One is stuck at stiff position because I broke the knob. But the strut is perfectly operational)
- JDM Mazdaspeed A-Spec Springs
- Racing Beat Front & Rear Swaybars
- Mazdaspeed Trailing Links
- Mazdaspeed Rear Subframe
- Goodridge Stainless Steel brake lines
- P5 Steering Wheel
- Alpine 9833 MP3 Deck (comes with a remote)
- Focal Access 165A (fronts) and Fosgate 6x9 (rears)
- JL Audio 12W3 Subwoofer (currently out because I had to move out of my parents house)
- Zapco 650 Amp (1 powerful 6 channel amp)
- 1 Farad Cap connect with 2 gauge wire
- Clifford Alarm
My rims are NOT included, as they will be put on gf Mini Cooper
Selling the car AS IS for: $1,500 FIRM
Will also include OEM rotors and GrandSport 'RACE' pads I used during SoloSprints. They have a VERY aggressive bite.
