started a topic 18 degree Chevy Motor

    18 degree Chevy Motor

    18 Degree Chevy Small Block

    600+hp, 515 ft lbs
    500+ ft lbs for 1500rpm

Great road racing engine or Oscaar Motor

    World Industries Motown steel block

GM "363" casting 18 degree heads, Jessel shaft mount rockers, double springs, Titanium valves and retainers.

Heads and Intake came from RCR. Immaculate porting and prep.

    Lightweight crank (unsure of brand)

    Forged JE pistons.

    Belt drive

    4 stage drysump system.

2 sets of headers (1 wrapped with collectors (one slightly damaged) and 1 ceramic coated)

    830cfm Holley race carb

Motor comes complete as shown plus carb. Ignition and clutch/flywheel/bellhousing available extra.

I bought this motor as part of a car that was crashed. I've been parting out bits and pieces. I don't have all of the info on the engine but what I've been told is that it's a 377ci.
    It's a lower compression motor (10:1-11:1 range)
It has a very mild Cam and was meant to be a reliable safe road race engine. The flat torque curve will show this to be true. Only 3 hrs since refresh.

I just put this thing on the dyno today (May 5 2017) to make sure that everything was working well. The attached dyno sheets will show it is a very stout engine.
Unfortunately the headers that we used on the dyno were not ideal. They blocked off ~1/4" of the exhaust ports. This dyno is also known for actual hp readings, not inflated ones like some shops.
