Some good drivin', there Andrew!
What a neutral car! Feels closer to 2000 lbs than 3000 lbs... when YOU drive it!
The custom valved Penske shocks and proprietary tire compound can't hurt... not to mention the carbon fible beetle body panels and that it's an acid-dipped and seam-welded car...
BUT STILL!
Helping unlock the potential of divine velocity since 2004.

Oh look I was dreaming all along.
Big track scares me after last springs incident. Just a tip don't brake in 2 it upsets the car not to mention the driver.
I've run approx 1:55's my first time ever at the big track with the Miata in street trim, on V700s and being a pussy. My second time on the track and first time ever driving John Powell's '83 RX-7, I was running consistant 1:40.6 to 1:41.0 after a dozen laps.
Earlier this year someone was timming a few people with a stopwatch and told me that I was running a few laps in the 1:48..
My car, 85 BMW 325es
Stock Suspension
Toyo RA-1 tires
weight: about 3680lbs (I guess it's time to do some trimming)
Top speed at the backstraight is about 185 km/h, just not long enough to get it into 5th gear,
I am trying now to get into corner 4 without braking, just a little lift, but usually I have to tapp the brake a little ( I guess the holy $hit factor), so the bottom of 4 I am going about 155 km/h. Next year, with a new and better suspension, I should be able to do this without problems.
Into corner 2 with about 120, out of 2 about 150.
I just love corner 2, the feeling you get going over the bump after the first apex and you find yourself all of a sudden 5ft more to the right....
Only about 180 more days to wait to do it again.....

Best I've done in the GTI was 1:48 something
Best ever (in a GT2) was 1:46.
There is some time to be had in turns 1, 3, 4, 5A and 9.
straightline 4-5A and 8-9....that always makes me smile!
i feel that my times were good. (1:53)
-1 temps. first time out, check engine light, and limp mode all the way home. man i started to get alot of surging. i was on road race compound hoosiers, so they werent exactly sticking if you know what i mean. 0.2 degrees of negative front camber sucks too, but now i just sound like im whining
its not very inspiring when you tackle mosport for the first time and there is snow/ice all over the track...
The best time that I've seen from the in-car vid is a 1:39.xx with 1:40s consistently. Discovered that my brake master cyl is leaking internally as the pedal drops up the back straight and approaching 5. Real confidence inspiring. LOL! This never showed up in Solo since there's never time for the pressure to leak down on the S1 tracks.
