Re: wheel cleaner for caked on track pad dust

Hey guys. I own a detailing business and I specialize in exterior surface restorations. Being a racer myself I've had an issue with this as well. There is a product called Iron X Paste that I've found works pretty well for caked on brake dust.

    http://www.carpro-us.com/iron-x-paste-150ml/

It's important to understand that you cannot remove the caked on brake dust in one shot, and unfortunately sometimes it is permanent. Be patient and don't be afraid to use a little elbow grease. This stuff is stronger than Sonax's wheel cleaner.

Reality is that after a track day, we're tired and the last thing we want to do is wash our car and our wheels. For that reason I've actually started glass coating my wheels so I just need to do a normal wash after a few days and the brake dust is completely gone.

This is another good product for wheels that aren't as bad as the ones posted in this thread. http://www.carpro-us.com/iron-x-500ml/

Both products make quick work of caked on DTC-60 dust but have their respected uses. In terms of buying the product locally I don't know if there is any Canadian Distributors...you'd have to check CarPro's website. The nice thing is that they do ship to Canada.

    Hope that helps you guys!

Just ordered some Sonax and a wheel brush from AutoGeek.net, prices were cheaper than anything local, even after shipping.
