  • Hawk Street/Race pads, anyone tried them?

I need more heat resistance than HP+, Hawk released the "Street/Race" last year, supposed to be based on the DTC-30 compound with better street manners(cold bite and not chewing on rotors).

Anyone tried those? I know there are a bazillion other pad options out there, i'm trying to get information on those specifically.

    Thanks

From what I understand, they're simply DTC-30's with shims.

If that IS the case, I can tell you from experience with the DTC30's that cold bite really isn't a problem (at least as good as HP+ on that score), but shims would need to do a hell of a lot for street manners...

I've used both dtc 30 and dtc 60.

Like barry said, dtc 30 has good cold bite. dtc 60 is way more aggressive and has even more aggressive cold bite. Mine even throws sparks if you get them mildly warm

After lots of back and forth, I ended up going with familiar HP+ all around and removed dustshields in the front. I was able to do 20 minutes sessions with no brake fade.

I'm probably not driving hard enough but i'm having tons of fun That's all that matters for now.

I may try those Street/Race next.
