The Festiva is back!!! ....kind of..

Due to the generosity of various people i was able to attend the 2009 Auto Show yesterday... First off... there was no ice racing! (there was last time i went only a few years ago..we had a little booth thing)

anyways, most importantly as you know (or dont know) the festiva turned into the Fiesta (like tercel to echo to yaris...) which just kind of fell off the market... well its back! I thought I would share

Here it is, the 2010 version of my race car:

I believe it's a FORD! HA! they have been forsale in Europe for a while.

IMHO...Ford blew it! It's a small car...something that could rescue them, and they had the thing on a freaking turn-table!

Yeah... The green kind of threw me off too... it looks like someone sneezed on the car and walked away.. It would have been a lot better if they had it on the floor and people could sit in it... they did that for the mustangs! now a 2010 shelby THAT should have been on the turntable.

Yeh, apparently my brother in England says there is a real hot version over there called an XR4 that they probably would import hear as an SVT version ..

Andy...i believe you might be required to seek help. You have a sick thing for small Fords (well sort of Fords...)

I was watching the GM press conference live and they said that they hope to get the Swedish Gov't to provide a bail out and then sell Saab. Only if that fails will they close it down.

Ford used to have the Fiesta in North America in the mid-to late 70's,
early 80's.
It made its way to North America during the 70's fuel crisis.It failed miserably because these small european cars could not handle the climates here in North America.

OOPS, I obviously didn't hear right. From what I have seen GM already cast the SAAB lifeboat adrift and apparantly the Swedish Gov't told them to take a hike.

That brings back memories ...Big Tom P used race Fiesta's after he was done with his Mini's, you could really soup them up ...I even seem to remember them in studs ...
